Virtual Private Cloud
Microsoft Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
Our VPC Service creates new scenarios to utilise virtual servers in a real production environment. This service is a significant advancement over standard virtual servers (VPS) accessed over the internet. The VPC Service enables robust, always on, connectivity between customer networks directly to a external server cloud. This enables companies to build connections between local and remote applications utilising centralised management. The VPC solution helps to reduce hardware and management costs by making it possible to virtualise and outsource selected applications directly to an external, cost-effective cloud based solution.
Our VPC service offers significant advantages over a normal virtual private server.
What does Virtual Private Cloud mean?
Our Virtual Private Cloud service offers much more than a virtual server service (VPS). by allowing companies to extend networks to existing infrastructure to incorporate all or some of the company server infrastructures by providing companies with a robust virtual server environment but most importantly enabling a virtual network alongside the service. The virtual network (VLAN) gives every VPC server a private “backend” network. where each server receives a private IP address within the network. Whilst all servers are backed up for disaster recovery purposes we recommend the use of our Iron Mountain Live Vault server backup service for complete peace of mind and flexible backup and restore options.
Calculate the cost for a VPC server
With the number of variable factor affecting the price of a VPC server (RAM, Processor Cores, Fiber Disk, Public IP-Addresses, Traffic, and Subscription months) a comprehensive price list would become as thick as a Russian novel. So instead of publishing price list novels we have a neat VPC price configurator where you can adjust the various factors and see how that affects the price. Connected PC Backup
Iron Mountain Connected Backup for PC
Connected® Backup for PC utilizes advanced data reduction techniques that enable automatic, highly efficient backups without requiring end user action or IT staff involvement. Following an initial full backup, Delta Block® technology ensures that only data changes and newly created files are subsequently backed up. With SendOnce® technology, identical files located on multiple machines, including email attachments, are recognized and backed up only once. The result is smaller, faster backups – even over dial-up connections – and reduced storage requirements and costs.
Results Show an Anticipated 48% Increase in Cloud-based Storage of Email Data over Next 12-24 Months
Iron Mountain’s Connected Backup solution eliminates the risk of data loss from enterprise desktops and laptops. By automatically backing up data in the background, this solution ensures complete data protection without interrupting users. The Connected Backup solution also provides a secure Web portal, through which users can recover data — without IT or Help Desk intervention.
